It feels funny to start the new year in the middle of the week, but there’s no better time to admire the gorgeous Spring 2015 collection from Chanel! Chanel Reverie Parisienne Spring 2015 was inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris, and was the most anticipated collection for me this season thanks to that blush! Chanel Jardin de Chanel Blush Camelia Rose features a beautiful 3-dimensional floral sculpture on the surface of the pan. It is not a mere embossing like in past seasons (e.g. Chanel Jardin de Camelias Illumination Powder and Dentelle Precieuse Illuminating Powder), and will hopefully last longer with use. Blush Camelia Rose contains 2 shades of pink – a medium baby pink with a matte finish and a slightly darker, warmer rosy pink with a satin finish and some sparse shimmers. Unlike the Bourjois blushes, Chanel’s blushes are softer on touch. Baked products usually harden with time and have to be applied in a few layers to get the color payoff which is why I have avoided buying baked anything in the past. I really liked the colors which were available and find that they cover all skin types.The finish is more pearly or shimmery side than matte with these Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes. Chanel Joues Contraste Blush Swatches Now, to be fully honest when I did the swatches of Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes they came out light. It has some kind of shine to it so that you get a “dewy” finish on your cheeks. I liked how buildable they are and if applied with one or two strokes of a brush, the blush is perfect for day wear, but if applied with 3 – 4 it’s perfect for clubbing or for flash photography. The Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes are finely-milled and have a silky smooth finish. The blush doesn’t have a chalky or powdery finish. They look very natural on cheeks. I personally think that these blushes are blushes for everyday. Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes Bourjois and Chanel have really nice baked blushes. The color range is different but the texture is similar. Chanel has a softer texture when comparing to Bourjois. Chanel has a better brush, packaging and texture. Bourjois blush hardens after some shorter time. While the Chanel Joues Contraste Blushes are much more long lasting and have better pigmentation.
